Re: The permits
Re: The permits
I just got off the phone with the Flint Twp office with some more info on the permits.
Basicly, you need a proof of liability insurance. Then you have to have the fire department investigate the building and area. Then the building department has to do the same thing. Then you fill out a shitload of paperwork and submit it to the Flint Twp office. All of this, takes about 6 weeks. Then it's request is submitted to the board of trustees who meet the first and third monday of every month for approval or to be denied. Keep in mind, any one department can deny the request for any reason.
Government bureaucracy at it's finest.

Re: The permits
Here's what really gets me. I was told we need a permit on the third. I had a meeting with Ed and Dave later that day, gave them the info needed then. They had all week to find out and tell me, but they told me last night when it was too late to cancell the show. But I found out all that info in 5 minutes.
Anyone got a shovel I can borrow?

....Basicly, you need a proof of liability insurance.....
Is that for the fans or for the riders? If its for the riders, can't you just sign a waiver or something? I know when we did the show at kettering we just signed waivers and didn't have to get any permits or insurance. Sounds like
to me.
