End of the year thoughts

Well, basically because this is the first time I've had free minute in a month I'll put up the usual Korny "end of year" thoughts.

Goods......
We rode a lot more than ever this year
Jack rode more than the previous 4 years put together
Jake and Annies Wedding
Matt and Kim's Wedding
Bill seemed to ride more than usual with us
I learned to wheelie a Buell
Big Jeffs Twins are getting older=more ride time
Borne returned to his roots and rode with us once
A few new riders came around

Bads.........
A few wrecks
Crappy spring and fall weather
Lost a few more riders (moved, stop riding, ect...)
No end of year party at my house (sorry, school sucks)
Still no sign of Jake and Annie on motorcycles
T back with old lady
No Fiddy Sundays

All in all it was a great year of riding. I had a ball hitting twisties and riding my new bike. I put 3 times the miles on this year compared to others. A few to many wrecks still though. Hopefully we can get some new cool riders to join our group to make up for everyone that has moved or what not. We need to take some weekend trips like "Deals Gap" or even up north type trips. I think that would be awesome.

Anyhow, that's my thoughts. Post away

Oh yeah, Everyone have a great holiday.

When the **** did this Borne kid get so good?
I used to be better than him for about a week or 2.
F4i's will win a fight with fence posts.
Riding in the cold sucks and I want to move to ATL.

Re: End of the year thoughts

I like how I'm the second one down

good:
Almost done with my EMT training.
Got a brand spanking new CBR1000RR.
Rode alot more this year.
My bro made it safely back from his first tour in iraq.
A good friend of mine made it back after his second tour.

bad:
EMT and MFR training took up almost the whole year
AAA canceled my insurance on the 1000 cause it's too powerful.
Still didn't ride as much as I wanted too.

That's about all I can think of for now....

Re: End of the year thoughts

Good
Finally bagged me a keeper
Got a REAL job
Became a ModerHATER for SL, now I have power!

Bad
Money ran out early over the summer (before I got in with coke) and didn't have enough to go out and play as much as I wanted to
Job kept me from Riding on Friday nights
Haven't ridden since september
Had to work First shift a couple times this past week (even on thanksgiving) and now I'm tired as all hell. Who invented 1st shift? and why would they make it so that I have to wake up at 4 a.m.???
Dan didn't invite me out to any bachelor parties

Wow, I guess I had more to complain about then I did to cheer about. I guess this year sucked! Nah, it didn't, really I had a blast (as always) and I look forward to next season and hopefully I'll be set in my job so that I can actually come out and play with you guys more. Maybe even with a new bike

Re: End of the year thoughts

Ooh me too

Goods:
- Got my R6 and did lots of riding even when I had to drag Matt out and he didn't want to go...you can only put up with so much complaining.
- Quad riding in NY over the 4th of July
- Met lots of new people
- Got Married and went to Disney World for the first time (Disney not marriage)
- I now own an 954RR and a C6 Corvette - LOL!

Bads:
- Only put 100 miles on the Trans Am
- Met a lot of scarey new riders that were seriously unstable and unsafe
- Got married and now have to clean up after Matt
- Missed the 300+ mile saturday ride to go to a bridal shower

Not too many serious bad things I guess..

When are we going to Deals Gap? I hear it's too busy there though. The roads in West Virginia are killer, we need to plan something for the spring.

There is a nice section of road going through National Forest. I travel often, lots of twisties, very little traffic.

You just gave me bad flashbacks when you said that. Planning a wedding was the worst experience in my entire life and I will never ever do it again. I can't believe people actually choose "Wedding Planner" as an occupation.

I agree with Annie, it was a huge pain - nothing like putting your life on hold for a few months. I could be a wedding planner if I only got to work with reasonable brides...not the ones that insist that their bridesmaids wear ostrich feather wraps (true story) or have a wedding party of 25...ever see Bridzillas on TV? LOL! Umm NO!

I know Dan was kinda dissapointed though that he didn't get to ride his fiddy up the aisle. I thought asking the priest might have been pushing it...
