Any One work in a machine shop??
Re: Any One work in a machine shop??
I'm not drinking buddies with the guy or anything but Bryant's on N. Dort did a torque plate bore/hone, crank grind, and cam bearings on my Dodge 318 truck block for around $450. Prob. not the cheapest place around, but he got it done in a week and stuck to the price he gave me over the phone......

Two words for you Create Motor.... By the time you put money into building your on motor anymore it will be as much as a create motor. Most Machine Shops are close to each other in price but don't get it bored until you have pistons so they can match piston to cylinders. Helps keep the tolorences tight.

it weighs less, and after you get done paying for a 383 you could get a used Ls1 for about the same- and the lSX heads out flow most aftermarket traditional small block heads

If the vehicle is built right it will hook. Some of the vehicles that don't hook have mostly stock suspension parts. Funny how people thinking throwing horsepower and torque at a vehicle make it fast. LMAO To a point yes but not if you can't use it. I wouldn't V8 an S10 anyways those are so 1990s.

I hear you can pick a whole ls1 setup for around 1500 wiring and all. A cowork said yes friend just got one to install an older muscle car. I was thinking of doing this to the Chevelle but by then there will be a few SS Corvette (AKA Viper Killer) motors laying around to get.
