Took the bike for a spin before I pick up the kiddies and ran across two "seat belt stings" on Center Rd between Meijers and Lapeer Rd and on Dort between Bristol and Atherton.

Looks like the real crime is taking a back seat to busting people for seat belts - which should be the drivers "choice" anyway...

So if your gonna commit a felony all the cops are trying to make 65 bucks a pop on seat belts this weekend.

Yeah In DE. they are crackin down on that **** big time, especially this weekend.

Just last night I went thru one on the way home. So pointless and jams traffic up. This weekend they already said on the local news there gonna be out making this there "main mission."

I didnt know it was 65$ though, they have got me 3 times for it, and each time was only 45$ a piece.

 

Yep, the wife had to keep me from driving by with a sign that said "what a waste of the tax payers money". Not only are the police getting double time, but collecting $65 dollars from mom, pop and grandmas for not wearing a seat belt.

I'm waiting for the first person to get killed, kid kidnapped or something serious happens a few miles away from where about 30 cops are giving out seat belt tickets. I would sue those f u c k s for every dollar in the state if that happend to me. If you have enough money to pay 30 cops to sit around writing seat belt tickets, then you have enough money to pay them to patrol sub-divisions and look for missing kids.

Say "YES" to crime, drug and missing kid stings......just say "NO" to seat belt stings. Please, never, ever give money to the police or pass a millage to hire more cops thinking it will be safer. When they learn to put the prioritys in the right place and spend money wisely.........then maybe I'll start supporting them again.
