A job

Looks like I will be going back to work. A place out in Durand. After 2 months I may need AA and whole lot of effort to go back to a job. But since my drunk a$$ hasn't even got up in time to file for un-employement it will be nice to add to my bank account instead of only withdrawals.

Re: A job

In a round about way but I should be thankful I have a job.... Atleast that is what they tell everyone as they bend you over. More less they forced me into a spot that is creating many problems personnal and job related. To top it off they locked all transfers for atleast the next 12 months. So I am stuck in a tough spot. I am just hanging around right now till I find another job or till my wife's job proves to me it will bring in more money then what we both were making.

Since my hire in package wasn't even close to what the old timers have it doesn't make much since for me to be there and be unhappy. The general doesn't give you anything anymore that you can't get at another company. To be real about it there are a lot of companies that offer a lot better or some sort of retirement and 401k packages. LOL

Very true. There are plenty of other places whose pay, benefits, work environment rival or exceed that of GM's. The hardest part about leaving was giving up the vacation time you accumulate with tenure, but even then, you can negotiate to get credit for that time.

Don't be mad at me Dan, I still love America.

Re: A job

I found an Industrial Based (non-automotive company) out in Durand. Another Quality Engineering position. Something I like to do and will allow for some travel to far away lands.

Just enjoying the warm weather of the south for a few days. I am a little dissapointed that Dollywood didn't have any life size statues for me to molest.
