Opinions on helmet cam

anybody have any useful ones?
I'm going to buy a set up for a helmet/bike cam. Use it as a helmet cam for dirt riding and a bike cam for street riding. Does anyone have one or know about them?
system will have to support LANC, and have a min of 380 lines of res.
If anyone has an older mini DV recorder with analog input, LANC terminal and IEEE1394(firewire) output that they want to sell for a reasonable price, let me know. Don't know if I really want to get a spanking new camcorder and blast through the woods with it.
