Its 4 am....i took a nap earlier for no reason other than the fact that I have the whole week off and im sitting on my nuts until I have to go back to work. My cat is laying on my lap....the tv is on...i think amityville horror is on but i'm way too lazy/feel bad to move the sleeping cat to get off my **** and check and see with the remote that is across the room. My main goals today was to go shooting, and to get my hair cut. I put almost 500 rounds through my baby this week in direct preparation for my ccw classes I take tomarrow and sunday.

Good luck with the CCW. Going in front of the gun board is kind of nerve racking. Some impressively important people there, like 6 of them.

 

You don't go in front of a gun board anymore, thats old school. You just listen to someone rant and rave for about 5 hrs then shoot. Then you go apply at the court house or police station and then you wait.

 

Wait to be called in front of the gun board. I got my CCW about 2 years ago.

 

nope...i go shoot tomarrow..then its mine...passed the test with flying colors.

What I did learn tho...is seeings that you had to go in front of the board....you musta had some kinda of charge they didn't like on your record or something. ORRRRRRRRRRRRr they are doing randoms now where they just call you in before they actually issue the license. For the most part though....they just sign it over:P

 

No charges, only traffic tickets. You get the certificate, fill out the application, go in fornt of the gun board, then it is yours.

 

No, you don't go in front of the gun board, thats how it used to be those day's are over unless your denied or they put it as pending because of a persons record. If your denied you can appeal. Once the appeal is processed you would present your case to the gun board.

 

That's odd, I had nothing on my record. Maybe because I lived in MI for less than a year?

Yeah, michigan is a "Shall-issue" state now. If your already qualified to own a pistol, then you're qualified to get a CCW. 5 Hours of classroom, 3 hours of range time, and 30 rounds later, the CCW is yours.

Your fingerprint comparison report goes before the board, but you don't.
