I need everyones honest opinion.................
OK, I'll probably get ragged on but I'm thinking of getting the new buell lightning. Yes I know it doesn't have close to the horse power of the big jap bikes. It does put out about 106 hp and weighs about 395 lbs. I just think they are a pimp streetfighter looking bike. I know they are stunted like crazy in Europe. Please, give me your honest opinion on this. I've also been reading a lot about the bike and it's has one of the fewest returns for warranty of any bike. PLUS ITS MADE IN AMERICA.
My reasons (wrong or wright)
Like the looks
Insurance cheaper
stunts well
lots of torque
it's different
not many people have them
It's AMERICAN made
Set up more like an F4I for comfort
looks fun to me
I don't need to go 185mph anymore
Good warranty record
Post up, pro or con...............SEE THE PIC'S a FEW THREADS DOWN

Got one at the dealer down the street. Has 120 demo miles and He sell for $8,500 out the door with the standard two year warranty unlimited miles.

I like the other one they make better.......but that one in the pics is aight...it is different and has a different feel to it..............I like all bikes though....

my buddy has a 99 m2 Lightning and the motor is still a HARLEY v twin and FULL of Problems......also the thing leaks oil like a biotch......they are not for stunting and would not stand up to harsh abuse......I would say no way.............he doesn't even beat it and its a Leaky problem mess....

anyone ever heard of Todd Colbert and Team X-treme? they stunt buells, and if i remember correctly they are sponsored by buell. seem to be good enough stuntbikes for those guys to beat on. just my 2cents:

Yea, if you'd get free bikes and free parts it would be good enough for you to stunt too, right.
