UPDATED: 12:31 pm EDT July 25, 2005

A sport utility vehicle crashed into a line of motorcycles on a charity ride in Luzerne County Sunday, killing one person and injuring several others, News 8 reported.

Police said the SUV crossed the center of Route 309 in Drums and hit the oncoming motorcycles.

William Delaney, 41, of Plymouth, was killed. His wife, who was riding on the back of the motorcycle, was among the injured.

The driver of the SUV, Jeffrey Borrin, of Hazleton, and an infant in Borrin's vehicle were not hurt.

The accident remains under investigation.
