Fawk the punks who diss the canotunas.. having a bike is better then no bike at all. Go get it and ride.

 

So you know longer have the FZR or you just can't afford it? I would say if you have the FZR keep that and ride the shiznit out of it. Buying a bike with a blown gear is like asking to throw a complete trans in it. Once one gear goes bad it is only time till more gears go bad. If I am not mistaken 2nd gear is shared with 5 or 6 gear so that one will be next. I hate to see you throw money away on a crotchtuna if you can afford that FZR. I had a YZF600r nice bike only downfall is it is heavy and low on power.( Nothing a big *** sproket can't fix.) They will clutch up in 1st and 2nd no problem and most likely bounce up too. By the way I am suprised anyone would claim to be Spaz's friend.

Right now he has no bike, he used to have my old FZR, he was looking at a yzf600 but its too expensive, now everyone thinks that he should get the canotuna, jeff there are two tuna's one with a blown 2nd gear one thats is ready to ride.. ....good, now were on the same page

 

ya what Taz said... $800 ~ for 2 bikes... a 96 Katana should be ready to ride AND a 93 katana that one has blown 2nd gear

Nothin wrong with a Katana. got a 95 myself. I just finished replacing 2nd gear in mine. pretty easy actually. and, it's probably just the shift fork that's blown. Prolly bout 2-250 in parts. Let me know if you want to sell the 93, i might be interested in it if the only prob is the second gear. PM with with the details if you think you might sell it...miles? has it been dropped? any scratched or cracks in the plastic? how does it run? what color? etc. later.

I think that very few people truely understand my definition of "cheap". At most i might be able to get 1500 together .. going to talk to my friend see what he wants for the YZF 600. But thanks Skitch if i win the lottery or somein i'll let ya know lol

 

Now that Spaz has cleared everything up for me I understand much better. I think 800 for both bikes is a good deal and your getting one that runs. You most likely could make most your money back selling the other one. Part it out on ebay and you could probley double your money. LOL
