I might have to try it out.....couple different ways to drink it, and supposedly doesn't take much at all........the Bohemian Absinthe is 70% alcohol by volume,(not 70 proof, 140 proof), the Parisian Absinthe is 68% alcohol by volume (or 136 proof)...........the Parisian, I think, was made famous to have been banned in france.

Most people who know of it, have seen or heard of it from Euro-Trip, or by hearing stories of the painter Van Gough cutting his own ear off after drinking too much of it.

Evidently its not illegal to possess or import Absinthe into the US, its just illegal to import quantities to sell it or import any quantity with intent to sell it, prolly more than like 5 bottles or somin?

You can drink it the traditional way, with sugar and water, and its different with each kind, or you can make a special drink from it. The special drinks in europe are approx. $12 per shot!

One of the traditional ways to drink it is to take a teaspoon of sugar, soak it for a couple seconds in absinthe, light it on fire, and heat until carmalized, the drop into the absinthe, which catches fire, then smother the fire with 2 parts water (to one part absinthe), and drink.

-1 shot water
-1.5 shots lemon juice
-teaspoon of sugar

I took a couple shots............**** burns your throat like taking straight shots of tobasco sauce!!!!!!

I don't know that it really does took much other than mess u up pretty quick, only thing I saw was some lil spots in my peripheral vision, like lil green floating dots/blobs.

Still got 1 full bottle and one thats about 9/10 full....................you'll have to talk to my sis about getting a drink though, she's holding it back like you wouldn't believe!!!!!
