this past week has been nuts! i went out to travis's house to learn the back flip and to back flip my streetbike into his pit and get some nutty footage for "A Few Loose Screws II" Im glad I made it back to KC in one piece. Unfortunately my friend Ben Smolen who helped with filming and the drive out there didnt make it back with me today because he is in the hospital. He is in Baltimore Shock trauma with a broken femur, a huge gash in his chin, severe bruises, and is in a lot of pain.
After I pulled off the flip a few times, he decided to give it a try. His 1st attempt was pretty good. He got upside down 1/2 way and landed on his head. His 2nd attempt wasnt so good. We told him to hit it a little faster and to pull harder. Well thats exactly what he did.....only he went to the right! He launched off the ramp, totally missing the pit and landed on top of the bob cat used to pull the bikes out. (I seriously thought my friend just died) It was the sickest crash to witness in real life.
The whole crash is on film and will be featured in AFLS II and Nitro 3! You won't want to miss out on this one! I want to wish Ben a speedy recovery on this mishap! I know hes going through alot of pain right now and will be for the next few months! Everyone please keep him in your thoughts!

fvck thats crazy.......pastrana is going to get sued one day....thats not the first time someone went to the right on that ramp....one of travises buddies on an 80 missed it went to the right ...he was ok though......i hope ur boy recovers well

this picture sucks ***, i will have to capture some pics off the video footage!
I wasnt used to flippin a heavy bike, freaked out 1/2 way through cause of the slow rotation and bailed! Now when I watch it on tape, im pissed cause i was on my way around to making it!
other thing that sucks, my motor locked up with oil due to being inside the pit upside down for 10 minutes and i didnt get to try it again.
so...
"A Few Loose Screws II" gets the 1st ever streetbike backflip attempt on video. Im going to have to wait for part III to pull it off clean!

Christian Phieffer was also out at travis's house and attempted to backflip his ducati. Heres a pic of his attempt! (CP is a sick sick rider) I got to witness his riding 1st hand. all i can say is.... smooth smooth smooth

Is the motor toast or is it goin good again??? Can't have you off that thing for too long, with that 450 you may never want to get back on it!!! Looks good tho, can't wait to see the video. Hope he gets out soon and recovers fast.

that looks dangerous... lol.. deffinitly have to commit 100% cuz you dont want the bike landing on you.. it hurts even with a bmx, so i cant imagine having a cbr landing on your ***..

femur break ****ing sucks.....im just getting over mine.... i just beat the limping but i still cant run or really ride yet. healing and rebuilding the muscle took and is taking alot longer than i thought. brian told me u broke urs i guess last year right dan?

Anyone ever see the vid of the guy jumping his furred out gsxr into the pit at travis' house? First jump went fine and second they told him he could go alot faster, he did and completely cleared the pit and got messed up to. I think i'll keep my bike on one wheel for now! U got alot more ***** than me dan can't wait to see the new dvd!
