Re: 16 y/o kid killed by elderly driver

I've done that, I had my Gixxer up to a reading of 165 when I was super pissed. After I got home, I thought about how bad my bro looked after a 20 mph lowside, really made me think next time I was pissed.

I agree with you all the way. Most 16-18 year olds (including me) are to young and stupid to make somewhat sound decisions. But The ****ing old can't make any decisions at all!!!!

Re: 16 y/o kid killed by elderly driver

The dad bought that kid his bike. Only Had it two weeks prior to the accident. A week prior to this he was pulled over for exceeding the speed limit in a residentual area and was only slap on the wrist by local p.d. This should've been a indicator that this kid was not mature enough to own a bike- especially a f4i and bike should have been taken by father. Regardless if it was an elderly person or not...at the speed he was traveling there is no way for either to react in time to avoid such a horrible accident...My heart goes out to everyone who has suffered a loss when it comes to our passion.

^ True that about the speed making a big difference. We have to keep in mind....These bikes are friggin small, at a buck sixty, we come out of no-where. That's part of the reason people pull out in front of people wheelying(sp?) *sorry, blaaaazed*, they look left: nothing, look right: nothing, start to go, look left again....hey, a bike.

Thats seems to be the way, and not to defend that bag drivin the car but it was a school zone too, I mean how fast is that there? here its 20, still possible fatal but alot better of a reaction time.

I feel for the family of that kid, its bad news.

There is no way he was going over 100mph, they said he landed on the hood of the car...If he was going over 100mph he would of been about 100 feet away from the car...

Not true. A guy rear ended a van doing a standup a while back. He was stuck to the bike. He didn't even fly one foot away from it.

RIP i'm just wondering how the bike landed sideways and up on the car ? i would think if he hit head on the nose of the bike would be gone but he still has front shocks and stuff.

Yeah I had an 18 year old kid...block a pass on the left and then slam on the brakes and come to a complete stop while he watched me skidding and emergency braking like hell to avoid his rear bumper...just to impress a friend and after I caught his *** at a light his excuse "i don't like to be passed" WTF FU(k the ultra young and the Fu(k the elderly. RIP

Re: 16 y/o kid killed by elderly driver

Most people do not realize the amount of skill and awarness it takes to ride a motorcycle, whether it's a cruiser or a street bike or stuntbike, with that said Most of us realize what it takes, it doesnt make a difference if you are a new or expeirenced rider you know that people dont care, we see old people doing this kind of thing all the time, we see teenagers to the elderly talking on cell phones, putting on make up, cutting people off and getting road rage, drunk drivers and just plain stupid mfing people killing riders. Most of us have come close Im glad that I can still get on a bike and ride but I will never forget those fallen, but I will never forget to ride smart. I wish the best to his family and to all the others.
