Re: Rememberance for fallen riders...
Im sorry to hear about those fallen riders.
There's one in particular that makes me sad, Will Garrett. I didn't know who he was until Servin it up 2. I remember some scenes in the first one and I did'nt know who he was though. I was like, lookit this lankie guy wheelien down a mountian. It was mad fun to watch someone with a bike like that, doing such a trick. Then after watching the 2nd one i was completely shocked that this was Will Garrett. The person that was doing the mountain stunt and all the other things he contributed to the film im sure.
See i just got my copy yesterday and im new to this site so forgive me for not knowing about him in the beganning.
From what I saw.......I know he's gonna be missed a whole lot.

Re: Rememberance for fallen riders...
*****..... I am reading this forum.. One in particular ... sorry, forgot name. But talking about old pics and so on.
Wel the other day I was looking at a site of a place that sells salvaged bikes and so on. I always look at the bikes, wonder what happened, but never really FEEL anything. I mean, I do not know the story, so I always think that they are ok. Anyway, didn't I see someone's bike who is a very good freind, of my best freind. I only knew this guy to see him. None the less, he lived in my city, passed here and I had seen him a week before. That hit close to home.
I actually teach a motorcycle training course here in Canada, and I always tell students. "Motorcycling is one of the most dangerous sports in the world. So if you think that you know everything about it, give it up, take up basket weaving. Great non contact sport."
Either way, back to the topic, hats off to all those that have passed, I and YOU will miss them everyday, I know I have lost a few, and I think of them everytime I get on my bike, or even look at it.
Ok, I am upset now. PEACE !!

LIVERMORE -- A Livermore man was killed Wednesday afternoon in a traffic collision that closed the Airway Boulevard overpass for two hours.
Troy Dew, 19, was riding his motorcycle northbound on the overpass shortly before 12:30 p.m. when he struck the back of a vehicle stopped in traffic at a red light. Livermore Police responded at 12:28 p.m. and closed the overpass down until 2:30 p.m., Sgt. Steve Gallagher said.
Dew suffered major injuries upon striking the rear of the vehicle, and was treated briefly at the scene before being taken to Eden Hospital in Castro Valley, Gallagher said.
A spokesman with the Alameda County Coroner's Office said Dew was pronounced dead at the hospital at 1:03 p.m.
Gallagher said Dew was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.
He was riding a 2003 Suzuki GSXR-600. The motorcycle still had paper plates and had a Las Positas College sticker on it, Gallagher said
