PINELLAS PARK — A woman died from injuries today after the motorcycle she was operating hit a car that turned in front of her.
The accident (left) happened about 8:40 a.m. at 49th Street N and 62ndAvenue N, according to Pinellas Park police.
The motorcycle, driven by Sherri Lee Linkous, 39, was traveling north on 49th when a southbound Toyota Corolla turned left in front of her. The motorcycle hit the automobile as it made the turn.
Linkous, 1201 Seminole Blvd. #428, was taken to Bayfront Medical Center, where she died from her injuries.
The driver of the Corolla, Margaret Ann Phillips, 75, of 9845 Lily St. in Pinellas Park was uninjured.
An investigation continues.
Yes she was wearing her gear just the only picture I could find of her off hand.

75 year old shouldn't have had her license. Just happened here, an 82 year old pulled out right in front of a bike on the highway and killed the dude. Bull that they don't have testing after a certain age on a yearly basis...

thats realy sad man...i actualy had a friend almost been a year ..sept 11th ..i know its wierd ..but he was riding around on this 75cc dirtbike and the kid had experience he had two gsxrs ..and he was pullin out of a school yard where there was a blind spot and got hit by an hd elctraglide...the heviest harley makes .and was flown reely far and died on head injurie..that was my boy man ...and what makes it really odd is that the guy who hit him on the elctraglide ...was his uncle!cause they lived rite down the street from eachother...it was on the news they were saying how bizzare it was being the uncle that hit him ...the uncle is actualy still ina hospital rite now flew off and his helmet flew off his head also and he hit a telphone pole he starting to move his legs now tho ..getting a little better...but that just shows anything can happen and to be very carefull on the street ...dont let there death go in vane ..but learn from it and maybe it will save your life one day

very sad to hear stuff like this. A guy I grew up with my whole life just passed away over x-mas after crashing his snowmobile into a gate. Stuff like this really makes you think..you just never know when its your time. Poor lady

It is sad to have these happen and scares the hell out of me to let my wife go ***** out to try and pace the "guys" but you got to keep in mind it is a fine line we walk. I have lost friends to this obsesion we all share and the only thing that puts me at peace is they got to go doing what they loved as opposed to fighting cancer and letting it break your spirit.

that **** sucks..RIP...last weekened I lost an older friend.. He was sitting at a red light on a Harley and a ****** 16 year old girl was text messaging and ran into him at 50 mph! I dont care how cool it is to ride streets, here in FL its way to crazy with all the old ***** and youg dumb bitch girls and they need to ban cell phones while driving!
