new here, got some questions lookin to get help with
Well, I bought my first bike last Oct. It's a 95 cbr 6 f3. I've heard this is a decent bike for doin stunts an what not.
My brother keeps tellin me I need to get new tires (coming from the guy who kills the bike everytime he first gets on with the excuse "its been awhile"). So one of my questions is how to tell if I need new tires, because they look fine to me.
I totally plan on stuntin on this beast, an as far as I know all the settings are stock. What can/should I do to get my bike ready for basics like riding short wheelies?
My bike is the gay stock purple an white colors, I'm gonna paint it a flat black as I'm not too into looks. The bike also has a after-market corbin seat that I don't like. If anyone would like to buy it or trade for a stock cbr seat id be game.
Any tips for the noob on gettin started to stunt?
I live in Omaha ne an I'm in Lincoln 2-3 times a week. If anyone lives in the area an wants to take on a apprentice here I am.

Re: new here, got some questions lookin to get help with
i have a feeling most stunt parts for that bike will have to be custom built... that is cage , 12bar that type of thing. on the tires if they are not all cracked and weather checked, there is no cords showing i would run em. just my
learn how to do a basic wheelie useing your foot brake, once you can do that i would recomend that you look for a f4i to get more serious on, if you end up really getting into stunting...thats a good place to start!

Also, I've tried to pop my bike up, an I just end up doing a fish tail burn-out thing. I'll be in 1st goin about 20 mph, pull the clutch in, rev it up an drop the clutch. This sounds to me as if its hard on the bike. Is it?
My tires are set to the psi stated on the tires, I read on here I should drop em to 20 psi. Could this be the cause of the bike not popping up?
Should I try to bring the rpms up more before releasing the clutch? I would only bring it up to 7-9 then drop the clutch? Like I said it sounds rough for the bike but what do I know?
Any tips?

drop pressure will help the tire hook up...if the tire is cold its gonna spin anyways. if you have stock gears then its gonna work the bike harder to get it up. do you know how to use the rear brake to save yourself from loopin out? that is the first thing to learn and a must! practice popin it up and steping on the brake... its not fun but it will pay off in the long run....i get the impression you are tryin to do fast wheelies... if it goes bad goin fast it goes real bad! i almost stop or do stop before i clutch up, i get the wheel high at a slow speed... then when i crash its not so bad...at least for me....the bike might get wrecked some....if your serious about makeing wheelies there is things you need...a cage is the first thing!!! and a 12 bar is a must for a noob!gearing will make it ez-er to get it up and keep it slow...but you must have brake controll first!!! you can stiffen up the front forks some, to help from bottoming out when the wheel comes back down...dont mess w/ the swing arm tho...lol

I mean eventually ya, but not till I got em down pack.
An as far as gearing how do I do that? I read a lil on here an I don't want to sacrifice speed to much. So how do I go about gearing? An I DO plan on gettin a cage for sure.
Re: new here, got some questions lookin to get help with
buy a bigger rear sprocket... it will cost you some top end tho....do you want slow wheelies or top speed? cant really do both....and fast wheelies are scary and i dont like them at all...... much more impressive to see a slow controlled wheelie imo. i cant stress enouph how important the rear brake controll is, if you dont get that down then you will be on here wanting to buy a bunch of parts for your bike after you loop it out...just sayin.... there isnt any stunters in omaha? or near there?? its much better to find someone who has an idea of whats going on to help you out....it will save you money, time and most likely pain...
Re: new here, got some questions lookin to get help with
I dont claim to be an expert by any means but if you dropped a tooth or two on the front sprocket you could get it up easier and do it cheaper than buying a rear sprocket. If you raise too many teeth in the back you're gonna be lookin at a heavier chain too. Again, not claimin to know much, jus my two cents on the whole situation
Re: new here, got some questions lookin to get help with
actually 1 down would make it quite a bit easier to clutch up in 2nd w/o killing too much top end..
and it sounds like you need to work on your clutch technique, look up YUT UUGH on youtube for professional solution ;-)

Good shyt. Ha only 50 bucks an hour right? Jus as long as you dont need to learn circle wheelies. And remember the key to burnouts is "setting 5" and holding both brakes.
