Re: Who runs from the cops?

i was 16 and real drunk, me and my friend were walking home from a party, we got sick of walking. we spotted a mini mountain bike on a porch so i took it. we were riding double on the bike and he had to **** so we stopped by this school and while he was pissing a cop rolls up, he runs i jump on the mountain bike and start peddling my *** off, head towards a field and i can feel the heat of the cars engine on my ***, so i tried a ditch and roll maneuver....well it doesnt work out real well when ur tank drunk, so as im finishing my maneuver and getting up to run and jump the guard rail he tackles me to the ground. i went to jail lol...moral of the story never run on a mountain bike, theyre not nearly as fast as you think they are when ur drunk.

Re: Who runs from the cops?

most ppl i know that run have reason to. they either have no license or a suspended license or no insurance. I have been caught in the act and I pulled over, turned my bike off and took my helmet off immediately. I have an M1 and insurance. LAPD let me go. I was with DirtyToes when he was pulled over doing a seatstander on a mainstreet. This time he did not run and pulled right over. LAPD let him go cause he has an M1 and Insurance. DirtyToes has run and got away many times and I have too but I think it all depends where your chase begins and how well you know the neighborhood.

Re: Who runs from the cops?

I ride with a group O.W.E. (One Wheel Elevation) in the Dallas area. When we stunt on the highways I always try to drive my GSXR 1000 which is completely legal. I have a job that I HAVE to pass a background check and if I got a felony I am almost positive I would lose my job. Every time the cops have chased us, even though I may have also been wheeling I pull to the right to pull over. There are numerous members in our group that never stop or pull over. Every time this happens the cops ALWAYS chase whoever runs. I would suggest to you to find a large group to stunt with on the highways and when the cops start their chase imidiately pull to the right as though your pulling over.

I tell myself every time I ride, "do not wheelie, the cops are going to give me another ticket" but this just never seems to work. I think I have turrets wheelie syndrome. I have never had the guts to say that to a cop when he pulls me over but if anyone's ever filming me getting pulled over I promise I will do it. Any way I seem to ALWAYS get let go. Just sayin may not pay to run bro. The last thing I will say on this subject. If you do run, DO NOT LOOK BACK !!!!! Most cops have a dash cam in there car now. If you look back and run you just turned this into a felony.

Re: Who runs from the cops?

I'll add my two cents.....
I've ran, and been arrested before. You think your safe when you get away, but problem is, all the cops need is a very vague picture of your license plate. Doesn't matter if you run. I got arrested out of my HOUSE later that day because they ran my plates and came to my house to pick me up. If you decide to run, be sure that dash cam didnt get a clear view of your plate.
...Also, never hang on a highway too long. Sure, 150 on the shoulder sounds good, but its way to easy to call for a mini-road block up ahead. If cops out of sight, get off the highway. Hop through the neighborhood and sit behind a building. If you got a buddy with a truck, tell him to scoop you up and pay him. If not, wait 30mins (seriously) and find a new route home.

Never get too confident thinkin youre in the clear.

Re: Who runs from the cops?

my tag is mounted with a super bright white LED blinding it from view and its at like 30 degree angle if I decide to play on the streets, i kick it with my heel bending it up, making the likely hood of reading it at 2ft In day light virtually impossible. ( 99% I play after dark on streets 10pm-4am) an I have run from cops while In a golf cart, a kawasaki mulee 4x4 High as a kite throwing bottles of O.E 32Oz(my passengers were) an yes I always got away, they never follow us into the woods. an got away on foot tons of times. only time I got caught on foot was when i got surrounded an they let the dog go. then I dove into a trash dumpster yelling I give( better than getting bite by the dog) Now I only run if the circumstance's are perfect. In a group, atleast 1 person runs, then they chase the runner an thee rest of us split off diff directions. Like i said, it is thousands of variables to calculate befor twist an go. i.e broad daylight alone proper tag mounted an he got within 100ft behind you, give it up an pull. he got you. 12am tag bent up an you wheelied by him, set it down cut the tail light an ball out, taking a known route an looking for cover, open garage, car wash tunnel, behind a building whatever.

Re: Who runs from the cops?

I've ran in a car and on the bike (caught in the car-felony, not on the bike).

I wouldn't run if the cops and law makers weren't such ***-holes down here, but just look at this shitt they try to pull down here and you tell me if they really want you to stop especially when you consider your bike wiil do well over 55mph in first gear (30mph more than a 25 limit on a backroad):

"As of October 1st, anyone caught doing 30mph over the speed limit in Florida faces vehicle confiscation, five to ten years in prison and a ten-year license suspension. Bill HB 137, which was signed into law earlier today, was originally targeted at motorcyclists, but was amended at the last minute to include all vehicles."

You could be all alone on a backroad cruising at 55mph in 3rd gear, not bothering anyone and still have your bike taken away from you (forever), face PRISON TIME, lose you license for TEN YEARS and face a fine of AT LEAST $1,000.00

Lets not forget that these same rules apply if you're up on one too!
