Noob from Arkansas

Hey everyone. I am a regular on r6-forum.com and lately I have became interested in doing wheelies and stoppies. Nothing major yet but just enough to have a little fun. A few guys on the other forum recommended this site, so I thought I would check it out. I am still in the process of modding my baby. I am about to order some gold ASV levers for her. Let me know what you think about my bike. Beers on me.

i hope you don't intend for it to look like that after you start stunting.... she's gonna be plastic less and throw some dings in the old frame there.... and a smashed tank... if your new to stunting she's gonna get ruff on her.

Re: Noob from Arkansas

I would like to get an old beater bike. I am not planning on going all out on lots. I did a few "micro" stoppies the other day to get the feel of it. I raised the back about 8"-12". I am not wanting to do 12's yet, just enough to pull the front off and ride it for just a bit. But you guys have some skills on here.

I know y'all are just being real with me but it makes me not even want to try stunting. LOL. I know there are only 2 types of riders; those who have crashed and those who are going to. It happens to everyone. I just don't like to think about it. Maybe I should just stick to the twisties haha

well eric to be hones imo, bikes are kinda like rc cars.... you wanna push them to their max..... but it always seems to break them.... cool thing is you can always put them back together and generally improve them.

But the catch 22 is they can't always put YOU back together..... so as long as you keep your rear brake covered and ride with in your limits your gonna come out ok..... now if you wanna push it to the max or gang up with a bunch of guys that are nuts in the stunting your gonna be pushing youself or peer pressure is...... you'd def. be in better shape to get a lot bike........ I'll sell you a f4i stunt ready :D

Re: Noob from Arkansas

I understand about not putting yourself back together. I'm a nurse and I hate seeing kids come into our ER banged up from not wearing gear. We call them organ donors. Gear first!!! Im always wearing my helmet and jacket. I never ride beyond my limit. The wife and kid wouldn't like not having me around.

Honestly, I have been trying to get the front off the ground for a couple of weeks now but it hasn't budged. One day it will come to me and once I get it I will slowly move on to the next. Im such a small guy. Do you think that matters? Im about 5'9" and I weigh 120 lbs.

dude best way on clutching just build rpm's starting low and dump it ..... and then when you find the one where your front tire lifts thats where you need to be at............. then when you drop the clutch feed it gass and it will come on up......

on my k7 power wheelies...... i would roll into about 3500 rpms. let out of it to let my forks compress then power back into it getting a handfull of throttle.... and it came strait up i had 3 extra teeth in the back and it came up quick and smooth.

Re: Noob from Arkansas

Im thinking of going -1 in the front and +2 in the rear, with a 520 conversion. That would put me at 15/47. They say it really helps on the R6 with the low end.
