Hello guys (and girls). As the title implies I am new to the forums and to motorcycles. I've ridden motorcycles only a few times. I decided this summer I would buy one.

So I just purchased a 2001 CBR 929RR Erion Edition. It has only 15k miles and mechanically speaking it is in really good shape (I had 2 long time riders with me to help inspect). I got a heck of a deal on it. Got it for 2.3k.

This local guy was selling it cause his friend wheelied it and pinned the throttle when he was up and the bike came back on him. So many of the fairings were cracked and damaged. Cracked plastic on the gauge cluster, cracked tail light and head light.

I'll get some pictures up later of it. Right now I am just learning how to ride. It may be a little too powerful for me.

I am in the market to buy some fairings and get 'er fixed up. I am also looking for some gear. A good helmet, gloves, and maybe an Alpinestar jacket. So if anybody knows any good deals let me know. Money is kinda tight since I am still in college so I am pretty frugal.
