New/questions
I'm new obviously but i've been checking out the bike scene for about a year. I'm hoping to buy a bike soon and begin riding. Like everyone else i want to stunt, but first i just wanna learn how to ride. So I'm thinking to start with a 600 bike, probably a honda or suzuki. I have a few questions tho. Whats mileage like in the bike world compared to the car world. Like how long do they usually run to, what is still considered pretty new? I also have to try to convince my parents this is a good idea so any advice on how to win them over would be great, sadly they still have the say since their paying for college. Thanks for the help.
Re: New/questions
what up buddy I'm also new to this site, but know some about the bikes though... since you are fresh to the sportbike industry i would deffinetly recommend a used bike cuz you could possibly drop it a few times
and plastics aint cheap. Dont buy anything older than 2000, imo with more than 20K... I mean it depends on how you ride it and how it has been taken care of... I've seen bikes with 40K running better than some of the 20K... So to compare the millage to a car, you want to at least double it or even triple the amount more like it... I wouldn't be afraid to buy a bike with 5k on the motor "original", CBR' and Gixxers good bikes... As far as convincing your parents... "make them an offer they can't refuse"
lol

If youre gonna stunt dont get a GSXR. Weak frames and subframes. Do a google search for broken gsxr frame and you'll see all the articles and posts. If youre gonna stunt buy a used F4i. Honda's last forever. Good luck.
