Re: What up guys...

Get a 6, you won't want a 750 if you're just starting out

Plus, gixxers are bad, get an f4i while you still have the choice

Re: What up guys...

Whats so bad about Gixxers? How capable is a 600 of carrying a 6'3" 330 lb guy?

Re: What up guys...

I was looking at a 600rr for my second choice, and then a 636. Im not really lookin to stunt my bike until I get a good 6 months of everyday riding in. I've been riding my friends 07 R6 and I like the way it feels. I've sat on an 02 F4i and felt too cramped. I just need to get my damn car loan payed off and then I'm getting a bike.

Re: What up guys...

I'll let someone else answer on the merits of each, but a lot can be said for solid riding ability.

If you're gonna just have a road bike, drop 1 tooth on the front sprocket (it works like adding 3 teeth to the rear, plus you won't have to change your chain) that way you can expect better acceleration, and will make learning a bit easier.

If you're serious about stunting, you're gonna need gear and cages

Re: What up guys...

Im already looking at 905 cages. They are about 20 mins from where I live. Im dont know much about bikes, so excuse the newbness! I've heard alot about the gixxers having a twitchy throttle, but it can be solved by using the f4i throttle tube right? I've been lookin at the 636, and maybe a f4i on the cheap just to beat the hell out of it for a practice bike and not worry about crashin it. I've been seeing them go for around $2500 around here.

Re: What up guys...

From what i hear, get an F4i, stay away from racing 905, and ind the cheapest bike you can cos you're gonna wreck. you wanna be able to beat it up and replace bits cheaply.

Plus Suzuki makes their bike outta cheese. i can't comment on the more technical stuff, but i know the general build quality is not as good as a honda

Re: What up guys...

If they are so bad, then why do you ride one? Like I said, I might get an f4i for a second bike just to learn on it and not have to worry about dropping it, and then the 636 or gixxer for the street. I have heard that the newer gixxers have crap for subframes. Why stay away from 905? I have heard nothing but good about them.

Re: What up guys...

You said you have been riding an r6, so you know it is capable of carrying you. Gixxers have weak frames and subframes. Just search around and read threads.. You can find all the info you need.

True, but im not talkin about haulin *** on it. I've been riding down back streets with no traffic just getting used to the way a bike feels. I've been searching through old threads and lookin at the pros and cons of all of the bikes. Thanks for ur guys' input. I've seen alot about the gixxers frames. I'm probably goin to get a 636 as my everyday bike, and when I feel the need to start learnin stunts, go out and find an f4i for a beater bike.

So I've been doing some research and it looks like the Kawi's have quite abit of problems too. I guess I will have to settle for an f4i for now. Im definitely not getting one with that gay banana seat though. I've been seeing them go for around $3500. Hopefully I can find one when I get to Louisiana next month.
