Hi

Hi all, just wanted to say hi as i'm new to the forum and motorcycles. I'm looking for a first bike, whats are you suggestions? (i'm looking at ninja 250s as i don't even know how to ride yet, or maybe a dirbike until i get the hang of the clutch etc.) Thanks in advance for all of your input.

Re: Hi

First off, welcome to SL Secondly, 250's are a good starter bike, you can pick them up cheap, and they are pretty durable. You'll probably want to move up to a 600 soon after. It's a good idea to learn on something that can't get you to the scene of the accident too quickly, if you know what I mean. Look for the Motorcycle Safety Course offered in your state, I"m sure someone has info on it, or just google it.

Re: Hi

Thanks Erik, i just saw an add for a safety course in the paper this morning. The only problem is i'm going to be gone all summer at Basic training. Some people have said that i shouldn't get into it because of that, as i live up north where there isn't a whole lot more season left when i get back; but i'm thinking i don't really value that opinion. Thanks again.
Aaron
