the one we just missed was 174 loads. there are a lot of 200+ load ocntracts in aus, but theyre usually way outof our league with long distance. there arent maany in the 125-200 range for some reason, and thats where we like to shoot for. Optimally, we like the contracts to get finished in about 6 days. That gives us 2 extra days of flexibility in case a loop pups up thats a few hundred miles off course

**** hair.. after right to night the electrical probs came back.. now when i turn my key, the brake light only comes on if i apply brake and my gauges dont durn on, but the headlight light comes on if i turn em on

The way I pick contracts is I multiply the number of loads by the distance to the nearest permanent supply. That gives me the total 1 way distance for the job. Normally, our company does a 140,000 total mile job in 6 full days. 150,000 is the highest we'll bid on unless theres a temporary supply real close so we can get a good jump on the contract before supply change.
