Yo I put the starter in and same **** is happening. Check this vid out. I dont have video from the first cold start but this is after its warmed up already. It started right up and I let it run for a few minutes. Shut it off and then started again with no problem but then when I shut it off again I noticed it didnt sound like it wanted to start so I grabbed the camera. I swapped the regulator/rectifier too and that didnt help any. What else should I try? And does what my friend said about the pistons seizing up make any sense? He said thats what it sounds like cause when the bike is cold it starts no problem but once it warms up it doesnt want to start so it sounds like the motor is seizing

i dont know what to tell you, but what i can tell you is-

your friend is an idiot. if your motor was seized, it wouldnt turn over.

 

He's not saying its seized but he said it sounds like the pistons are starting to seize He's a bike mechanic so its not like someone like me saying it.

I could be explaining it wrong but pistons do seize and he said that sounds like the symptoms of them seizing or some **** like that. Get me a motor

try a can of Restore, that stuff works wonders on older/damaged engines

You can get it at any auto parts store, put it in with a oil change. Run the bike for a while then let it set for a couple days (at least)

 

or wear a shirt like when fat people go to the pool
