• The 03-06 CBR 600RR , 03-05 Yamaha R6 ,03 04 gsxr 1000 and the f4i pegs are lowered and moved back and out for better peg position! !
• The 01-03 GSXR 600 and 750 have the pegs moved out two inches because of the big tail section
• THE 07 600RR pegs are located 2-1/2 inches lower and 3 inches wider (Than stock)
• All other omr subframe cage models are in the stock location except they are rotated on their axis so they don't fold up unless you fold them up, this also puts your foot on the grippy part of the peg during a wheelie.

that means i'll get more torque if i go up 5, versus -1, +2. i think i'm gonna do that. plus, it should extend the life of the sprocket's teeth since the stress is being spread out over more teeth.

thats two good reasons and if you want all the reasons going down on the front sprocket is bad ask niner he can explain it better but transfer of tourque is also a factor

however!!!! track racers, stunters, etc go down a tooth all the time, and i've not personally heard of any problems associated with it. theoretically it's bad but if it didn't work and not mess up the motor, tranny, chain, or sprockets, people wouldn't do it. opinions?

 

they go down on the front to hide that fact they are changing the gear ratio and it is also cheaper to change the front compaired to the rear ..

it does have a negative effect on the chain and sprockets and the transfer of torque , just because they don't know it doesn't mean it's not happening , have you not read what i have been posting

i have always gone down 1 tooth (16 to a 15) on all my bikes and so do my friends. i dont see the point in going down anymore than that unless youre too cheap to buy a new rear sprocket.

 

why go down at all if your getting a new rear sprocket any way ?

i've been reading but i've not personally SEEN side effects. in theory, smoking one cigarette in ur entire life is bad, but most likely didn't do **** to shorten ur lifespan. get what i'm sayin? i'm gonna do some more research. i did the math and 16/47 and 15/44 is just a .005 difference in rotation ratio.
