damn, he broke a steel subframe?? i would have expected that his frame would have given way first.

i have a question, omer. one of the loops on the frame where u bolt up the rearsets has cracked off, on a bike that i'm working on. i have a piece of **** frame that i can use for metal. do you think i can make it strong enough for regular use by MIG welding if i buy the argon gas and Al wire? also, are there different allow Al wires or is it just Al wire? the frame has 2 loops where u bolt up the rearsets, and it's only the top one that's cracked.

that means i have to hire someone cuz i dont have a tig welder, nor do i know how to tig. that may end up costing a grip.

cut off the other tab and then tap 4 or five holes in the frame and bolt a bracket to the frame that you can bolt the rear set too

Re: Omr Subcages !!

i was thinking about using metal wire and wrapping it around the frame and through the top hole of the rearset for support. then i'd bolt on the bottom hole and use blue threadlock on it.

Re: Omr Subcages !!

lol, i crack up at the ways we figure out to make stuff work. i also talk to some track racers and everything has to be perfect on their bikes. even if a part that is interchangable from a kawi bike to a honda, some of them still won't use it. they'll buy the expensive aftermarket honda part.
