I have vm server running on my linux desktop ... I have an xp workstation almost always constantly running in vm, then I run vm's of servers to test upgrades and changes etc all the time ....

 

if you had to hide somethign in a box, in plain sight, and that box needed to have a power cord, and a fan running 24/7.. What kind of box would you use?

A. a cardboard box that your kids would want to play with?
B. a locking box that would become the most interesting thing in the house to kids?
C. a box that looks and sounds exactly like the rest of the boxes in the room

WOW thats a cool one.. A frickin remote control, thats awesome. $99 is a little steep but i see where that money goes compared to mine, which cost under $10

i use 2 serial devices -
a modem that i have to keep around to interface with some archaic centrex system
and a serial cable with an rj45 at the other end for interfacing with cisco equipment thats not on the network, like new stuff im setting up

thats my mother plant. every time a stalk gets up to the top, I cut it off and stick it in my cloner for a week, then off to its new home

 

the other night a kid brought a 50 to the spot with a manual clutch. cool, except the cable was fucked up somehow and the clutch wouldnt engage unless you physically pushed the lever back out.
