if you replace the fuser, output rollers, and high voltage power supply, they'll pretty much run forever. 3's also, everything after that sacrifices longevity for performance

i was looking for a 4 or a 4+, i know ive seen a bunch of them around here. the desktop support guy gave me this one, gotta see if its better or worse than a 4

Not as nice as a 4 by a long shot. They were only like $200 new. I have 2-4s and a 5n in use that have been running forever.

I just bought a P3005dn that's really nice and my personal printer here is a Dell 5110cn color laser that they gave us for free when I placed a big order. I have those two and a Lexmark Optra R+ that sit on my desk.

The 1200 was the $400 version of the 1000. It should be comparable to the Laserjet 4. We had one and it's long gone so I guess it's not as good as the 4s.

P3005dn - double sided and network capable

5110cn - double sided and network capable, color laser

Optra R+ - Old School Laser Printer - Circa 1997

The 3005 is a replacement check printer for the optra. I'm keeping the optra as a backup.

DFX5000's? I used to fix those, at my first computer related job. It sucked.

Some a lot, some not so much. The problem is with the paper feed. It starts grabbing 10 sheets to a time and no amount of cleaning helped. I never even looked into replacement rollers because some only printed a few hundred sheets before ******* up. They were replaced with 1020s I think. Those have been good. They're small but they work good.
