yup. so the only chance i have is if i send him an email now explaining "the story" and hope he'll give me a shot. I just dont think he'd give me one considering I already lied on the app And since I just found out about this new NYS licensing thing Im pretty much fucked all across the board

So with the employment package I have a fingerprint card for a background check to be done. Since they just recently started requiring this, every place I go to is gonna ask for a background check to be licensed by NYS NealFoReal

Yeah ima send him an email and hope for the best. The new licensing thing is a new requirement that all loan officers must obtain a license through the NYS Banking Dept. I guess they did that to weed out all the crooks and scam artists So with the employment package I have a fingerprint card for a background check to be done. Curious to hear opinions. Just came from a mortgage shop that I'd like to work at. The guy hired me and told me to start on Monday and gave me an employment package. On the application I checked off that Ive never been convicted of a felony and I moved things around on my resume and did not include the fact that I owned a shop.
When he gave me the employment package he asked if I have my NYS loan originators license? I replied no and that Ive never heard of that since NY never used to require LO's to get licensed. That changed a couple of months ago and now all NY LO's must be licensed by the banking department and have to go through background checks and get fingerprinted, etc. I have a certificate of release from civil disabilities which basically states that a felony conviction will not barr you from licensing. And the NYS Banking Dept knows about my conviction and when I had my office open they let me keep my license even after finding out about the final conviction.
My question is since I lied already on the app, you think if I send the dude an email and explain my situation (story) I have any chance of getting a job or its most likely gonna be a wrap
