the cost per unit may be higher, but trust me along with any other homeowner, running electric heaters is cheaper than running natural or lp .... I started using a $30 electric heater in our bedroom last winter and would set the thermostat at 67 instead of 71 at night and it saved a lot of money

Yeah I will definitely have something like that in the next house. Along with heater elements under the tile.

It's not outrageously cheap but if I set my thermostat at 72 and leave it there all winter I will definitely have a few $300+ gas bills. Whereas if I run 2 electric heaters (living room and bedroom) I will probably save $100 a month in heating costs.

That isn't my house, that's the website picture. No need for a brick face. There is a fan that blows the heat out the front. It's a great setup because it only has to be 1" from the wall and 6" from furnature on the sides.

Oh, and propane is probably the most expensive fuel to heat with. Oil is catching up fast though. I was paying $400+ per month for oil last year when it was just over $2 a gallon. Now it's $3.50. We heat for 5-6 months too.
