perhaps those that have been on it long term. if someone just lost a job and it looks like they'll be on it short term, then i'd say its a waste of money.

here in NOLA, back in the 70's, people who lived in the projects had inspectors that would come and make sure the property was clean and well taken care of. if the people werent taking care of their free/cheap apartment, they'd risk losing the ability to stay there. i think that was a good program. i saw pics of the projects back then and they looked like decent apartments. now they look like slums.

i've used it, i still do. i work though....it's one thing to work and try to better yourself while getting a little help than to be sitting on your *** eating cupcakes and snorting crank

 

they have take home drug tests now that are lab accurate that you ca buy at cvs for 40 bucks,

as far as the inspection stuff goes if a black guy said lets do it then it be cool any white guy says it im a racist

 

exactly so if you **** in a cup to make your life a little easier whats the big deal

 

if illegals come here to work and do well and make something of themselves awesome....it just drives me nuts to be sitting in class hearing them talk in their foreign language explaining stuff to the other ones.....WHILE the teacher is talking. i hate that more than anything.

 

he should pay his kids' expenses regardless. i pay my kids' **** as much as i can without going broke. their mothers know i do as much as my budget allows so they're understanding if i can't pay for something, which is almost never.

also, if a couple can work out how much the parent can pay to support his/her kid then the courts should not get involved.

i just have like a zero tolerance for people and perscription drugs my dad is basically a junkie due to his perc , oxy addiction worst part is the doctors know he blows the **** up his nose and they still give it to him and tell my mom its the nature of the beast

 

i agree completely. i've known a lot of working women that needed assistance with child care in order to make ends meet, and they work hard. i have no problem with my taxes going to that, because they are working and raising their kids to be productive citizens.

kids should learn another language. it doesn't hurt... and those who come here should learn english.

i wouldnt like that either but i've had english speakers talk while the prof is talking so it's more a matter of manners. however, people should learn english if they want to work here. they dont lose anything from learning something. its cool if they live here and are learning it, but i know muhfuckas that live here a decade and never learn the ****. spanish was my first language, by the way. i had to learn english.

 

they're in the process of learning. give them some credit. it shows that they are taking the initiative to earn the right to live here. foreigners shouldnt have to already be perfect americans just for ur comfort.
