Re: Omr Subcage !!!!!!!!!

to use my 03/04 636 wheel on the 04/05 zx-10 f.e. I need to make some adaptors for the axle... I think I'm going to just bore out the inside of the 636 axle so I can put the zx-10 threw it...
I thought about switching the bearings but I don't know if they will fit. And I don't want to buy them if they don't

are you trying to say the zx-10 bearings are too small for the 636 axle ?

the zx-10 axle is about 1.5mm to big to slid threw the inside of the 636 axle...I want to cut the ends off the 636 and use it to adapt the zx-10 axle to the 636 bearings....make sense

ok then get a zx 10 axle but make sure you get the pieces that go into the fork also ...one side will be threaded and the other wont , know what i mean ?

or does the 636 axle fit in the zx 10 forks but just not the bearings in the wheel ?

ok....
kawi axles are hallow....
so we know that the 636 axle fits the bearings and adaptors of the 636 wheel...right??

the zx-10 uses a much smaller diameter axle....

it almost fits inside the hallow 636 axle

so I want to shorten the 636 axle (cut the ends off), bore it out, then all it will be is an adaptor or a sleeve

get a tube with a bigger OD and smaller ID .. turn the OD down with a lathe and bore the ID out to the spec's u need..
If u dont have access to that, any small local machine shop would do it for you im sure..
