If you sell an average of 1 deal per day, thats the equivilant of 10-20k per month once your doing that consistently. At that rate, if I hit that rate anyway, I'd be out of debt in 6-12 months. :YEAH

??? I have a power commander with ignition mapping and a Micron Serpent full system exhaust. I'm about 20 hp over my baseline dyno. I'm sure that doesn't help. I also tend to be a little ham fisted with the throttle.

It has it's ups and downs though. Lots of mortgage folks around here (quicken loans) are in serious trouble because they bought 500K+ houses with "creative" loans when the hosusing market was booming and they were making $100K+ a year. Now they are making 40K a year or less and can't afford the McMansions they took out short term ARM loans on. NYC hasn't seen the problems the rest of the country has though.

Sales is the only thing I'm good at. And dont get me wrong - its not that easy. Most people dont sell a deal a day. Most people are lucky to sell 2 a week. I dont consider myself most people though. I got exceptional sales training working as a stockbroker and I know what the **** I'm doing when it comes to mortgages. The average loan officer is making around 4-5k per month. The big dawgs are making 10k+. The superstars make 20k per month or close to it. If you build a team you have 20k+ potential per month. Eh we'll see what happens but I've gotten up to big #'s befo so I'm hoping/assuming I'll do it again

This is all true but NY has seen its share of problems too coz the industry as a whole is fucked right now. Still money in it tho.

i remember Scrooge McDuck using that line: I became a millionaire on my own, and I can do it again!! (use a scottish accent when u say that though). it was kind of a motivational line. i've remembered it all these years.

Scrooge McDuck is my hero according to my myspace page. My favorite line is "Work smarter, not harder"
