there's a rinky dink tire shop near my house but they wont do anything with bike tires. they'd charge 5 bucks, but the shops near my house want $50 per tire.

put some dish detergant on the tire all around the bead and it will go on like nothing when i mount a tire i can put the first side on in one motion , i mean i can just push the tire on the rim in one quick move by hand , no tools

i remember the last tire i changed, i struggled like a *****. when i went to put it on the bike, i realized the tire was put on facing the wrong way on the rim. taking that ****** off and installing it again was even harder than before. i was pissed.

the rim has a 17" diameter at the beads, but only a 16" diameter right at the center line

what do u mean?the center of the rim is deeper then the out side so if you push the bead into the center of the rim it will give you more room so you won't have to try and stretche the tire

do u use a car to break the beed on urs? no i use a pry bar and a screw driver

Re: OMR SUBCAGE [subframe cage]

my way is very easy but hard to explane with out you being here to see it and i have seen people use a 2x4 and just put the 2x4 on the tire with a piece of an old tire under the rim and then they just jump on the 2x4

sounds primative.

i'll see if i can find another method on youtube tonight. something i'm definitely gonna order is the flat bars though. the scredriver fucked my rim's finish up too much last time. having a flat surface will spread out some of the force against the rim.
