you have no clue dude..
i had bone graph in my pelvis where two cysts were eating at my bone due to the particles that were wearing off the polyethelyne probably because of my quad jumping and fiddy riding over the years...
which requires 12 weeks of no full weight bearing ...
then, the surgeon cut off a peice of a cadaver's femur to put in place of mine because he had to remove my femur and then remove the previous titanium prostetic that was IN my femur that broke my femur while being removed... then he had to wire the dead mans bone on my bone so it will grow back together ... which ALSO require 12 weeks no full weight bearing ...
what was to be a 2 hour --replace two pieces of hardware-- ended up being a 6 hour surgery that required replacing everything and then some ..
so who you callin a pansy?!? give me a year dude .. just one year ....

Cathi I meant no dissrespect at all,,, I'm a nurse in orthopedics so I see hips,knees,shoulders, every day!! on top of riding and dealing with all the bike wrecks I see come in ...humor is healing hun !! I gotta deal with motocross wrecks, knee draggers, and in general wheelies gone wrong,,, all the time.. so obviously I'm sterotyped at work...braaaaaaaap

you are a ortho nurse and u still ride .. good for you
every PT and Nurse I know refuse to ride or let thier kids ride or spouse ride because of what they have seen ...
i didn't realize how serious this surgery was until I finally got home and was looking at the previous components my doc sterilized and gave back to me *gag* lol ...
Both the surgeon and my husband tried to explain to me what all they had to do, but i blame it on the morphine and demorral :YEAH LOL ...
I just want to bounce back NOW instead of waiting this out .. If I behave I will be able to ride again...
well, its a war i won for atleast 15 more years :YEAH

i am finally off blood thinners, stopped taking pain meds unless right after PT and i soooooooo hate TETTTTTTTTTTTT HOSE! lol drove me nutty!
