omr subcage
Re: omr subcage
Word on the street is Brian (the guy who built my trans) has seen the inside of allisons and he wasn't impressed. Over 400 HP and they need a bunch of upgrades. For one the stock clutches start slipping. They are over a grand on their own. Also the duramax is programed to defuel when it shifts to protect the trans. My trans has a lifetime warantty. If I can break it they will replace it for the cost of shipping. The allison does have nicer gear ratios though, especially the 6 speed.

- The 03-06 CBR 600RR & the 03-05 Yamaha R6 pegs are lowered and moved back and out for better peg position!
- The 01-03 GSXR's have the pegs moved out two inches because of the big tail section
- THE 07 600RR pegs are located 2-1/2 inches lower and 3 inches wider (Than stock)
- All other omr subcage models are in the stock location except they are rotated on their axis so they don't fold up unless you fold them up, this also puts your foot on the grippy part of the peg during a wheelie.
- omr subcages are available for all makes and models but only the ones listed above are available for shipping

From a guy who is swapping a cummins common rail and allison into his rig:
The Allison option is expensive especially if you intend to push beyond about 380 hp, which is about the limit of the clutches before they start to slip. New clutches on E-bay are $2,200. A billet cover torque converter is $1,400. A beefed up, custom tailshaft housing from Suncoast is somewhere around $1,200. Shift kit is $200. Your 6.0 tranny cooler is FAR too small for the Allison, so figure another $400 to $600 with plumbing. My tranny is a 5 speed- I can upgrade it to a 6 speed for around $1,600 for the valve body. Then there's the stand alone controller- you have no options than to use the factory controller, but there's only a couple guys that have made them work properly as true stand alone units- normally they get info from the engine and powertrain systems to program and adjust themselves to your driving habits, but that's not going to happen behind a Cummins. I added up what I COULD spend on just the tranny- $12,000 PLUS another $1,800 to get the electronics working. No, I'm not going to spend that much...I hope.
