i leave them a little bit on the loose side. i can hang on them in a wheelie no problem but when they hit the ground the clipon rotates a little. it didnt yesterday cuz it was an off axis hit

ahh maybe i should just buy a few feet of 7/8" aluminum and keep a spare in my truck

Re: Omr Subcage

every couple days i go on ebay to look for an RC51 front axle and spacers. Every time, I find 3-5 rear axles with spacers, and usually no front axles. How does that work?

for the clipon tube, i think im gonna switch to steel and see how that works. its just a basic 7/8" OD tube as far as I know, should be easy to find a steel replacement
i bent my clipon tube all to hell also. a buddy of mine sold me his for $10 cuz he didnt need it. i dont know how much they cost but i dont know if it'll be worth switching to steel when i can go get a tube cut at home depot or some place for cheap. i also have to replace my kill switch, throttle tube, and brake reservoir. sucks but at least its simple parts.

i think im putting on the RR style throttle tube housing, and the start/kill switches will get mounted somewhere safe

my current vortex's are packed with pellets (pellet gun) to reduce vibration. it really works. Mercury would make some good stoppie ballast

on the rr, they have a rubberized weight inside teh stock ones. I assume thats for vibration damping as well. they come out with the bar ends

Re: Omr Subcage

one is stiffer and the other bends better meaning it is less likely to crack

pretty much every site ive looked on says almost teh exact same thing about both of them.

except one..

We carry two types of aluminum angle: 6061 angle has rounded corners and is generally used for structural applications where strength is important.

6063 angle has sharp corners and is generally used where surface finish is more important than strength.
so i guess the 6061 is a little better for this

i think the rigidity has to do with its heat treating, either type can go either way

i think
