4.10 gears! Yea, that'd suck down gas on anything. I'm getting 15-25 MPG with my full size 1500 and it has 35's. Yea, it doesn't have 500lbft of torque, but it gets the job done. I'm saving up for a Whipple... that'll give it 450horses with around 400lbft of torque.

In 90 degree weather with the AC on driving 75 MPH I get about 22 MPG with 2 bikes in the bed. You really can't tell the bikes are there either other than the truck rides a little better.

7,200 pounds, dual airbags, and about 7' of vehicle between you and the front bumper make for a safe vehicle.

Re: Breakfast Club

I paid $6000 for my truck and did a couple of mods to it but it's very clean and very nice. I get complimented on it a lot and I've spent MAYBE $10000 on the truck total including lift, wheels, tires, Superchips and a flowmaster exhaust. Try putting those mods on a nice diesel for that price!

I got my truck already built. 19g's with best of the best lift, intake, exhaust, chip (it actually does someting on a diesel, unlike a gas engine), tires, and a $4700 transmission. Crew cab lariat.

I guess I've never really needed or wanted a diesel b/c I never really tow much... and when I do tow I don't need to tow very far. And even with 2 bikes on the back of my truck I can still cruise on the hwy at 75 in OD just fine.
