Breakfast Club
Re: Breakfast Club
Got your message yesterday, did you and sammy really go back out that night?
Re: Breakfast Club
heres what happened....
1. it was cold
2. you have garbage tires
3. you downshifted and dint rev match perfectly
4. b/c you hadd low traction your tire broke loose from the downshit
5. when you treid to apply the brakes becuz you already had no traction the back locked up easier then normally
6. you paniced got outa the brakes and then back on them lockin it up again
7. you saved it pretty good but dropped it none the less
8. a stabalizer would have done NOTHING in that situation!!!
this is how i wrecked the first time on my bike to....only i wasnt so lucky i fell doing somewhere around 60-80mph....not sure how fast it was when i actually hit the ground!
Re: Breakfast Club

Re: Breakfast Club
I realize that in this case it did nothing seth, im saying for the future because i do plan on going back there next summer, alot, and as brett will acknowledge the new route that we took is bumpy as hell but the turns are pretty nice, and im sure he will agree that a stabilizer will help there alot. and here is what konrad said about my rec, konrad was directly behind me when it happend:
Chuck basically locked up the rear tire due to drastic change in engine speed + cold road (locked when he downshifted ( I shifted into first or second and it locked )) and then he regained control but locked up again while trying to avoid a head on collision with a pretty tall curb.
He then slid the rear of the bike out to become parallel with the curb before he ditched the bike.
The bike then hit the curb on the left side on the outer lane of the curb.
I'd say he was going about 10 mph when he actually hit the curb. Had a lot of control for not having any control of the bike!

Re: Breakfast Club
ya its gettin cold fast up here....and hes got taht horrible stock dunlop on back which is a sport touring tire......if he woulda had a corsa III on there no question in my mind he wouldnt have crashed!!! i got a bunch of those tires as take offs and i use them right now and i can barely ever get it to brake loose....maybe 2 wheelies right outa the truck bed and they are hot to the touch!!!
Re: Breakfast Club
chuck you did a good job i commnend you on keeping it up for so long...all im saying is DO NOT have false assurance in a product when it wont help out in those areas....thats where you get in MAJOR trouble.....you want an investment for next summer get yourself a continental superattack street track or a pilot power race compound or a diablo corsa III race compound!!! well go riding maybe this weekend and ill show you how much this tire will heat up just by the time i leave my subdivision!!! its crazy man trust me these tires hoook no matter what
Re: Breakfast Club
I understand what you are saying. Maybe I was talking about the stab. in the wrong place. I know it wouldnt have done a thing. And ill be in the market for new tires next summer some time, seeing as how i already have 5800 on these in 4 months
Re: Breakfast Club
Chuck, next time you should just bunny hop the curb. That's what I would have done. The roads are hella shitty and for sure bumpy as ****. I'm suprised none of you did get headshake going 100+ with the front end inching off the ground constantly. Niner is right about the tires not coming up to temp especially on those damn shinny roads. On top of that, it's deer season and deer are mostblikely or almost in full rut which was another thing freaking me out. Was fun though till you wiped. Had a good time popping Konrad's GSXR's cherry as well with some pow pows.
Re: Breakfast Club
Here you go chuck. If you're scared to ride now, buy crazyJ's gokart.
