I test asphalt... and I have to take a small random sample and burn it at 1000 degrees to get all of the oil off of it. So basically I weigh the sample before I burn it, then weigh it after I have burned it and then calc the difference which will give me a percent. So then I know what percent oil is in the asphalt. If the oil is to high the asphalt will not compact... it'll just spread out like butter but never compact. But if there isn't enough oil it will be dry and clumpy and will lay out like ****.

I like economics and it's a good all around degree, but I wish I would have tried harder. I partied pretty hard and just sort of skimmed through it all... I wish i would have taken the time to actually digest the material more but I did like it.

 

Yea, but I didn't even go up once last year. I'm going to try and go more this year though.
