Hey shad!
I woke up about 10. hung out then got ready. Went over to my cousins house and played with their 3 yr. old twins & their 2 yr. old. We played then they took a nap while I went and got my nails done. Went back till about an hour ago. I just ate dinner now i'm chillen till about 10.

These guys were called "The Austrailian Pink Floyd Show" or at least that's what it said on the dvd cover. they were damn good, but they must have paid a fortune for the rights to all of those songs

if your just covering a song live at a show, no. If your releasing a live cd or dvd that you stand to make a profit from, then yes you have to pay for the rights to use the song. I imagine that they had to pay for the rights to have "Pink Floyd" in their name also.

I imagine that Roger Waters owns all the publishing rights for the Pink Floyd library......Owning publishing rights to music is a helluva way to make some $$. Think of it like owning stock in a really big company. Except that you are the only one who gets paid and you never stand to lose $$.
Here's some interesting trivia. The Beatles lost their publishing rights due to a bad contract signed with their label. The rights were auctioned off and who bought them? Michael Jackson. Any time you hear a Beatles song in a commercial, he's making $$ from that.
