You can also take nodal cuttings off female plants, put them in rockwool and water with a b vitamin stabilizer until you've got a sturdy root complex, then plant them like you normally do. And you'll have all females. Revegetate the females and you never have to worry about it.
Or just watch those sneaky little bastards, and when you see a little ballsac developing at the leaf base, you know to get that plant out of there.
If I've got a really really good tasting high potency strain and I find a seed, it's like Santa got my letter. Even though I don't grow anymore.
