the guy didn't call me by noon so i called him. he said, he had to check the system to pull my app. and he'd call me back and he never called me back.. so I'm gonna take that as a "You **** at resume"

I could try calling him tomorrow, or call my buddy that works up there, and see if he can light a match under the guys butt and make him call me

I saw in the news paper that a local bar is hiring experienced bartenders, and I happen to be an experienced bar tender... Also, my brother and sis. in law happen to know the owner of the bar, and they are good friends with them, so they said they would talk to him, to get him to hire me

 

You can make really good money doing that, as long as you're willing to work the screwed up schedule!! Who am I kidding? I work for Pepsi Corporate...and I'm at work now!! So much for 9-5!!

That's seriously what like 1/3 of my friends do, they're all bartenders and I envy them seriously (most of the time). Sure there really isn't much of a future in it, but for the "now" it pays really well and how can you beat working 3-4 nights/week...

 

the thing is, this bar is WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY busier than the bar that I worked at, and I don't know if I could handle the pressure of working in a packed bar like this... Although, the "rich folks" do tend to frequent this bar, being that it is right next to a golf club..

yeah, and especially since I am a college student, it would help to be able to work around school too

 

You'll get used to it, I used to barback a really busy club, the night flys and just remember, you can only do one thing at a time... that will help with the mental feeling of wanting to serve 973 customers at once.
