Basically it boils down to this:
stupid accident prone kid + stupid unknowing girl + borrowed bike + early teen hormones = bad ideas running rampant
I can see it now...."this will make a SWEET myspace pic"..... whoops. "Ok, at least you can still get some pics out of it."
Re: We Need to Get Him Off A Bike ... Forever
I'm 17 and have two upped with me gal before, but she was fully aware of what I was doing, when I was going to do it, and I know she was holding on tight. It also wasn't the first time she was ever on a bike, probably the 200000th. Not to mention it was on my bike that I have gotten fully accustomed to as she has too.. And she full on wanted to not because she could get a giggle out of it but she LOVES the sport and she can ride somewhat as well. I'm just saying this so I don't make it seem like my **** don't stink.
However kelm doesn't have the best track record nor does he have the experiance on that particular bike. How can you blame the girl? EVERY single girl at my school wants to go for rides on my bike, and want to see what triple digits on the speedo feels like. How many of you get in someones car if they pull up in it? I'd say everyone. You don't know how well they drive, if they have a bad track record etc. etc. So logically any girl would think a guy who you know who rolls up on a nice bike would know how to ride. As a rider/stunter it is YOUR job to make sure a passenger knows how to ride during normal riding and definitly in stunting.
Now, what if this girl got hit by a van with a mother driving her young kids around? Not only would it destroy the girls family, but think about the mental impact of running over a 16 year old girl would have on a mother and young kids? Or if that van swerved to miss her and hit a pole of sorts? Is that the girls fault? I don't know about you guys but I'm 99% sure kelm had control of the clutch and the throttle.
Why is everyone saying this is a big deal? Because would you want to be the guy to go tell a kids parents that because someone tryed showing off their life was taken? Or would you all act like you are now saying it's her fault for being a dumb *****. Personally, I wouldn't want that job and if it can be prevented then why sit around holding your ****s thinking it's just a part of growing up and learning?

God only knows where he told her to put her hands, god only knows if she knew he was even going to pull it up. He said he was going to "put his hands where hers were".... now where in the HELL is that? Is she holding on to your grips? Or are you rockin no-handers now? I really can't hold her to blame, because one of them knew better and it WASN'T her.

Now that i am done yelling. Any one who is riding on the back whether your new or not....its instinct to hold on. she should have been doing just that....and if she had been doing wheelies with him all day then she should have been prepared.....sorry girl but your not gonna change my mind about this one....she was dumb enough to fall off the back....im glad she didnt do more damage to herself.........and the kid who was in control....well dont get me started.....he was dumb enough to throw someone on the back even though he is not a seasoned rider.....btw....did you read all the pages leading up to my comments?

Re: We Need to Get Him Off A Bike ... Forever
am i out of line?
ive been riding since i was 5 or 6......as a passenger....only recently have i ridden by myself....the first time i got on the back of someones bike as an adult....he did a wheelie....he failed to inform he was going to do one but none the less i held on....the only reason i was holding on was because we were going fast and i sure as hell didnt want to fall off the back......
if im out of line tell me.
but its my opinion that the girl should have been holding on a little tighter than she was.....what was she doing on the back....adjusting her thong? fixing her pants......sorry she got hurt but she didnt die and she didnt break anything......
And im sorry if i sound bitter.....but its girls like this that make me mad.....cause only two words come to mind when i think of her......and you should know what they are.

Re: We Need to Get Him Off A Bike ... Forever
ok i didnt read the whole thread..only up to page 7 when everyone got way off topic.
But heres my view kelm just stop lieing its gotten so bad u cant even keep up with your last lie "i rolled on the throttle and kicked it into second" the next post said u kicked it into third
now i have never touched a sport bike (yet im only 16) but from riding dirt bikes and atvs IF i had someone on the back i make sure im 200% more cautious (sp?) and i go slower then normal. on a sport bike i would make sure i had plenty of experiance of wheeling SOLO then make sure the girl was ok with me doing it and knew what she was doing then i would start slow now 60 mph on a busy road.
i know i know the road wasnt busy it was in the middle of no where BUT YOU SAID that a buddy was on a bike behind u and locked up his brakes and swerved and there were cars doing the same...sounds busy to me.
someone get this guy a monkey bike thats street legal MAYBE he can be considered safe on one of them....MAYBE
