Has anyone on here ever had any tendon damage espesically with their fingers?
The night I crashed I went to the ER and he said 90% of my extensor tendon was damaged... but some of it was still there he had be bend my hand and you could see them running down. He said the nerves were fine if I remember correctly and said I may loose mobility and need rehabiliation.... (they put it in a splint)
Basically not your main knuckle but the one down after that in one little tiny area was grinded down or at least the top layer was taken off after my leather gloves burned through.
So I go to the orthpedic and he says we'll keep it in a splint for two weeks, then I come back and he checks the scab and has me hold up the finger straight which I can do just fine it doesn't droop down.
Now he schedules me to come back in another two weeks... sometime this week and I'm worried... He said we have a 6 week time frame to where we'rer able to successfully perform the surgry.
But still I go to google and look up.... the results are not promising they are talkign about never being able to use my finger again. I can still ride I mean just fine a few nights ago but I'm going to hate not being able to use thsi finger if I loose mobility.
Right now I'm in a splint and I know some other people on here crash all the time and most likely have had tendon damage before... So please post up and what happened, etc.
Thanks so much....

Good point... I'll bet you $20 that you get flamed on this thread more than you get advice... Just listen to your doctor.... It's not the end of the world, it's just a finger....
ANd on a side note... The post you made about wanting to be a pro stunter..... Think about it... This will probably be one of the minor injuries that you get... Once again, not bustin yer nuts.. But think about it...
Re: Incredibly Worried

Re: Incredibly Worried
one finger? it could be worse, you could be dead...if your not prepared for the risks of riding a bike....then don't....take your **** out the splint and start moving it yourself.....if you dont move your finger for the whole 6 week tiem, wtf does the doctor thinks gonna happen, its gonna be a ***** to move
Re: Incredibly Worried
im going to reframe from calling you any names here,
but you were riding with a splint on, in the condition your hand is in? and you want people to feel sorry for you? come on, your asking for trouble. i think you want something to happen just so you have something to complain about.

No, your wreck had EVERYTHING to do with your riding skills, you weren't SKILLED enough to be riding at a high rate of speed in the first place, your 16 you dont have a liscense do you? you were by yourself, and you were on a backroad at night, therefore your skills at life are pretty bad too
