Unfortunately, we only have control of our children after they are born. There is little to nothing that we can do prior to birth to prevent everything. All we really do is pray for 10 fingers, 10 toes, healthy and normal. God doesn't always give us what we ask for.
It is how you deal with it afterwards that makes all of the difference. I am sorry to hear about your child. I feel blessed that mine is a healthy young man after being born 1.5 months pre-mature..
Please understand that this is a motorcycle forumn, and not everyone is so passionate about what they say. Things are uttered out of context all of the time. They are not meant hurtfully, but as a joke. Although sometimes the things are not of a joking nature to everyone that reads them.
I have a lot of respect for people that deal daily with LD, GMD, and obstacles of that nature. It takes a very patient, very special kind of person to be able to handle it.
