Steel plates on boots?
Steel plates on boots?
I've got a guy here wanting me to make some steel plates for his boots. Anybody have any ideas for this? I've got a couple ideas, like making a couple plates cut to fit the bottom of his boot and using some sort of leather strap to hold it on.
Re: Steel plates on boots?
Theres a guy with the Ronin Riders outta Jersey that custom makes them, try and get a hold of Lee of Ronin on here...I'm sure he'll be able to hook it up...The only reason they suck though is when you walk around off your bike with them on it sounds like your wearing tap shoes...I still think that plain white shoes look badass, they usually leave a prety nice white line the whole way which looks pretty tight...

wouldnt you slid alot when you try to walk?

I know it's sorta corny but it looks awesome when someone goes by you on the highway at night with sparks flying from their shoes...
What is it the makes them spark, magnesium or something?

Re: Steel plates on boots?
i just one day superglued metal pieces....and that shot sparks about 4-5 feet back at night....the response to that was crazy...cars were trying to catch and me do it again...everyone was like WTF....but I am working on making a real design for some boots at my buddies shop
Re: Steel plates on boots?
titanium makes white long sparks. Ryan u know i started that with the reflector mounts from my bike. i was on 94 that night i did that and i had people slowin down and ****...
Re: Steel plates on boots?
a guy here has the titanium plate ones, there bright as hell and through long sparks damn near 10 ft behind him id say. looks f'in badass haha. My buddy just screwed 3 machine screws into the bottom of his boot's and that worked... wasnt a bright white spark like the titanium does and they didnt stay glowing for really long, maybe a 3 ft trail of sparks, but it still worked... and everyone has machine screws....
Re: Steel plates on boots?
Thanks for all the input. The funny part to this is the guy I'm making them for has trouble ridding in the first place. Not sure if I wana be around the first time he trys them or not. But hey money's money. Heck he might just take off and pass me now.
Re: Steel plates on boots?
take some cheap metal or ti if you can get it...cut it out and shoo goo that bad boy to your boot....never comes off..the metal wore through before it started comming loose
