Lookin at new bikes....stuntin'
I've been lookin at gettin a new ride. I was wondering how many of you guys stunt R1's.... It doesn't look like many people stunt'em. Is there a reason? I do like doing distance wheelies.
So right now it's between the GSXR1000, R1, or the 954. Which one would you go with and why? By the way, I stunt on my Bandit 1200, but I want something with a little more pony's and lighter... way lighter. I know you guys will tell me to go buy a crunchy piece but I'm into a little more than just stunts. I've got a banshee to beat the **** out of anyway. So, what's your take?

NOT SURE
I used to stunt my 1000, but I am not speaking for all 1000's, but mine was not so good because I went through 3 clutches, broke my fork seals several times. That was just on my bike, my Digidy(Brandon PBR) loves his, so it is just opinion, the 1000 obviously has plenty of power, if you get a 1000 I would adjust your gearing if you are going to truly stunt that thing. Let me know if you need anything else, also Digidy would be someone also who could help you out quite a bit.

Go wit the 1000. Mine has made learning stuff so much easier. You don't even have to do anything to them. Mine's bone stock except for gearing now. I've rode an 02 R1 and a 954. The R1 has the power but it's akward and twitchy. The 954 feels like a 750 in the power. The brakes are awesome though. Just my .02 cents.

I stunt an 02 R1, In my opinion, I hate the Tranny. A little rough for my taste, but you may love them. People say you can't 12 them, due to the subframe being welded. And they also are very bad for headshaking. You can stunt an R1, but it will be much easier to be good ona 929 or other bike. Just My opinion.

I'm not worried about 12s maybe 11:30s but I don't have a need in my style of riding to scrape. I've always owned Suzuki and just don't want to regret the change. I do have some video of guys stunting R1's but they are far and few between. Just wondered if there was a "main" reason. Personally I really like the looks of the new R1 over most sportbikes. That's been the real draw for me. I know without a doubt I'd love the GSXR in performance... I owned a 1994 GSXR750 back in 95 and it was an awsome bike at the time. Thanks for the input.
