Kawasaki and Suzuki did merge but the sportbike portion of the company has stayed seperate. They aren't building the two lines together like they are with the quads and dirtbikes. The R&D and manufacturing for Suzuki and Kawasaki sportbikes are still as they were before the merger. But that is exactly the point. These bikes aren't made for this #1 and #2 they aren't meant to withstand impact with automobiles

 

I'll stick to my gixxer thanks for the tip on the ZX10s i was looking at those for a new cruiser..

 

Werd on kawazuki thats only dirt bikes and quads not street.
