F4i riders

Anyone have an F4i that is geared close to +20????
Do you like it?
Would you recomend it?
Any other recomendations?
About to order gear for the new bike. I have a F3 with +31 (74 rear), but the only reason I did this is to compensate for the carbs. I don't think that the F4i will need as much.

I know....these gearing questions get old.

Re: F4i riders

-3 is no good, IMO. creates too tight of a turning radius for the chain. correct me if im wrong?

Re: F4i riders

Go about 15 up. Then if you want a little more you can go 1 or 2 on the front. All the ones I've rode or seen have about 15 and it's about perfect.

Re: F4i riders

I know it doesn't need +20....hell I rocked my F3 with +6 forever....I just like all the engine braking. I am split between the handbrake/no handbrake and am leaning toward the no handbrake side for now, therefore want more gear. Scrapin' highchairs just isn't as as cool with a handbrake.

Re: F4i riders

-1 & 14+ Just rock whatever you like the best, Don't worry about what everybody else thinks. It's ok to get advise but don't let anyone tell you what you should ride. Look at me I rock handbrake, MX bars and a big sprocket, I don't give a fu(k becouse I have fun when I ride. That's what's all about.

Re: F4i riders

i have 2 down 10 up....

highchair scrapes no prob etc,it comes down fine....

IBWS Jerry: u can do ne thing? those 3 tricks u entered r all there is to do out there.... hhmmm crazy....
gearing allows for tricks to b done that cant b with stock, not so much cant b, cause u could scrape highchair with stock gearing, u would just have to come over on the bar at like 80 proband u could clutch it down... my 2 down 10 up allows for ne thing, cause u can clutch ne thing down from the bar...i have 2 down 5 up, and u could clutch out of highchairs wit that so, ne thing less i dont know, i was flying witht he 2 down 5 up so....

go with whateva u want man...u said u wanted to scrape highchairs, wouldnt go less than 2 down 10 up, unless uve done it before and r willing to come in flying to do it...
all on u though

either way have fun, thats all that matters

Re: F4i riders

I put it like this...

All true ballers can stunt stock.. big deal, heres a cookie. BUT, if you spend 90% of the time with your front wheel OFF the ground.. why not gear out?? what... are you too GaNgsTa'?!? Ask your moms.. peace.
